A little about this Explorer 40EBH:
Renegade has continued to impress us over the years with the Explorer, and for the 2026 model year, they have really outdone themselves!
The Explorer is built on one of our favorite chassis, the Freightliner P4 Cascadia 116 chassis, mated with the Detroit Diesel DD13 Engine with 525hp and 1,850 ft lb. of torque. We ordered this one with the Detroit DT12 12 Speed Automated Manual Transmission which is our favorite transmission for towing performance. This is a beast of a powertrain that can handle anything you throw at it. It also has the Detroit Safety Assurance collision mitigation system, that features lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and adaptive brake assistance.
This coach sits at a desirable, 40’ in total length, and features the all-new 40EBH bunkhouse floorplan. This is a floor plan we have been asking for! For years you have been limited to only 2 floorplan choices, and none of them offered extra sleeping capacity. This bunkhouse floorplan is great to bring the whole family.
We love that you can fit, a stacked washer and dryer, a king bed, (2) bunk beds, a large bathroom, a large living area, a pantry, and a nice kitchen along with 4 slide outs. With its shorter length, and the DD13 Engine, this is one of our best horsepower to weight ratio coaches we offer. This one is truly built for driving enthusiasts.
Being one of our favorite builds, we picked over $46,000 in options on this one. A few of the major options include:
- Tundra Paint Design with Blackout Package– We designed this coach to come in the all-white paint design with the Blackout Package. We love customizing, and so do our customers. The blackout package covers the wheels, grill, door handles, mirror covers, and more. This coach is going to look bad ass!
- Flat Panel Wainscoting with Padded Walls – An interior finish that was reserved for the Renegade XL and Classic for years! It’s now available in the Explorer, and of course we had to order it on this one.
- Lithium Battery Upgrades – We ordered this unit with the most amount of batteries we can get. This gives you (4) 270-amp hour lithium batteries over the single AGM battery. We wouldn’t order a Explorer without this package!
- (4) 200-Watt Solar Panel Package – We know that if you are interested in a Explorer, you are also interested in boondocking! We ordered this coach with 800 Watts of solar in conjunction with Lithium to give you the ultimate performance we can get in the Explorer.
- Additional 3,000-Watt Inverter Used to Run One A/C – This may very well be our favorite option on any coach we offer. This option allows you to run one air conditioner solely on battery power! This is a great feature for quiet hours at an RV park, or while you are going down the road, being able to keep the coach cool without running your generator! This is also great for pet lovers. Keep your pets cool all the time with this option.
- Electric Radiant Floor Heat– This is an absolute must have option. Nothing better than waking up in the morning with warm tile. Also helps in winter use for 4 seasons traveling.
- Flo-Jet Macerator – We finally have this on the Explorer! This is the best option for dumping your black and gray tank. This macerator hose makes dumping your tanks a much nicer experience. This allows you to pump the waste and have a much more sanitary solution.
