The Explorer TS takes everything we love about the Explorer and adds MORE. The biggest difference between the Explorer TS vs the standard Explorer is that the TS comes standard with twin-screw (TS) axles or tandem axles as we like to call it. With tandem-axles you are able to add more towing capacity and payload capacity. With an extra 20,000 lbs of rear axle, the Explorer TS can tow up to 30,000 lbs! 

The TS is built on one of our favorite chassis, the NEW  Freightliner Cascadia P5 116,  offering 525 HP with 1,850 lb ft of torque from the Detroit Diesel DD13 Engine. Its mated to the Detroit DT12 12-speed automated manual transmission, which is our favorite transmission for exceptional towing performance. 

The Explorer TS sits at 42' in total length, and has one floorplan for 2027 so far, the 42RB. Which is a direct copy of the 40ERB Explorer floorplan, just with 2 feet more living space in the bathroom and bedroom areas. This extra 2 feet allowed room for the tandem axles, while keeping close to the same storage space underneath! This year they are now offering Explorer TS with an optional Cab Over Bunk Bed! Giving you added versatility for extra sleeping or storage.
